Thank you to Lucy Randall and the team behind the AHA|SA Awards for executing an amazing event that celebrates the hard work and outstanding service within our industry. After 18-24 months of unprecedented and challenging times for our industry, it was a great night acknowledging the high standard of South Australian Hoteliers and receiving recognition for industry achievements and innovative thinking.

We're proud to announce that our Marion Hotel was named Hotel Of The Year for the second year in a row, this time as joint winners with the impressive Bridgeport Hotel in Murray Bridge.

Our Arkaba Hotel Head Chef, Anthony Giardina was crowned Chef Of The Year, a well deserved title for a valuable leader within our business.

Holley Smith, our all-rounder superstar from Port Lincoln Hotel also won Hotel Industry Rising Star.

The Hurley Hotel Group received the following 2021 awards;

MARION HOTEL

ARKABA HOTEL

PORT LINCOLN HOTEL

Congratulations to all outstanding 2021 winners. We look forward to attending the National Awards as finalists early in 2022.

We are very grateful to receive award recognition but with a slightly bitter sweet feeling this year. Yesterday’s roadmap announcement was a hard pill to swallow. Our industry still has a long road ahead until we reach some sense of normality. The pressure hospitality staff face managing restrictions as we enter our busiest period of the year weighs heavily on us. It’s been a tough year for everyone in the hospitality industry but we know others have been hit harder than us. We want to acknowledge the incredible strength and resilience of those in our industry who continue to battle through these restrictions in particular the small hospitality venues, nightclubs, bars and our beloved entertainment and music industry.
