Hurley Hotel Group wins big at 2026 AHA|SA Awards
The Hurley Hotel Group is proud to announce that Hotel Panorama has taken out the coveted Overall Hotel of the Year in the General Division, as well as several other awards across venues in its portfolio at the 2026 Australian Hotels Association (AHA) SA Awards for Excellence.
Held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Tuesday, 20 October 2026 with over 1,000 guests, the annual awards celebrate and acknowledge the best of South Australia’s best pubs, hotels, and hospitality venues.
The major award win for Hotel Panorama comes after the $60M hotel officially opened in May of this year, marking the largest investment in the Hurley Hotel Group’s history while delivering significant economic benefits to South Australia’s hospitality and tourism sector.
Designed as a full-service hospitality destination, Hotel Panorama brings together accommodation, dining, entertainment, and events under one roof. The ground floor offers a diverse mix of hospitality experiences, including a casual café bar and restaurant with seating for 90 guests, centred around a sunken fire lounge, alongside Sideline, a sports bar and outdoor beer garden anchored by a seven-metre screen designed for major sporting events, and a rooftop bar, Wonderland, which has coastal, hills and city views.
The hotel also features 77 accommodation rooms across three levels, comprising of 26 studios, one- and two-bedroom rooms, in addition to two Panorama Suites – the hotel’s signature suites – featuring a private balcony, soaking tubs and dedicated dining area. All rooms feature premium bedding, modern amenities, and an on-site gym. Select suites include kitchenettes, baths, and private balconies, offering guests additional space to relax and unwind.
Hotel Panorama General Manager, Scott Oakley, is thrilled with the win and said it is a great achievement for the hotel and its staff.
“We are absolutely thrilled to take out Overall Hotel of the Year in the general division. The Panorama is the biggest project in the Hurley Hotel Group’s history, and I’m so proud that all our hard work and dedication has been recognised,” said Scott.
“It’s a testament not only to all those involved in the development and build, but to all our staff who work behind the scenes and on the ground. Without their hard work and commitment, we wouldn’t be able to say we’ve achieved this incredible outcome – a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved,” continued Scott.
The new hotel also received the following recognitions:
• Retail Liquor Outlet (joint winner with Crown Inn Kingston)
• Outdoor or Non-Enclosed Facility – Metropolitan
• Sporting Entertainment Venue
The Hurley Hotel Group’s Marion and Arkaba hotels were also acknowledged with the following award wins:
• Marion Hotel – Mid-Range Hotel Accommodation
• Arkaba Hotel – Entertainment Venue
• Arkaba Hotel – Meeting & Events Venue – General Division
Hurley Hotel Group General Manager, Sam McInnes, is proud of the achievements.
“I’m incredibly proud of all our hotels and staff for their achievements at this year’s AHA SA Awards. The Hotel Panorama has been our most significant project to date, and we would like to thank everyone that’s been involved along the journey and helped us create this great hotel that no doubt will serve the community for many years to come,” Sam said.
