On August 3rd, Icons of Whisky Australia hosted their awards for the first time in the Southern Hemisphere during the Whiskies and Spirits Conference Asia Pacific in Adelaide, South Australia. Hurley Cellars won this year’s title as Icons of Whisky Australia Multiple Outlets Retailer Of The Year and will visit London as a finalist next year for the World Icons of Whisky Awards. This was the first year Hurley Cellars were nominated and were the only South Australian business in their category.

The Icons of Whisky Awards presented by Whisky Magazine, reward people and businesses behind whisky and celebrate those who deserve recognition for their continued dedication to the whisky industry. The nominee selection process included telephone cold calls over a 12 month period testing product knowledge on Whisky and customer service, followed by mystery visits from Whisky Live, Whisky Magazine and Icons of Whisky.
